Oley strives to make the Annual Conference accessible to as many patients and care partners as possible.
Beginning in 2026, a registration fee will help cover essential conference costs. We understand this is a change,
and our goal is to ensure no one is prevented from attending because of finances.
To reduce financial barriers, Oley offers two forms of assistance:
Registration Waivers (help cover the cost of conference registration) and
Travel Grants (help offset travel-related expenses for those needing additional support).
Purpose & integrity:
While we do not require proof of financial need, we ask applicants to apply with honesty and thoughtfulness.
If you can attend without assistance, please consider leaving these limited funds for someone who truly needs them.

How to request
- Waivers are requested through the conference registration form.
- Individuals may request a confidential financial waiver by completing a short form during your registration. Once submitted, you will receive a promotion code that will waive your registration fee.
- No proof of financial need is required.

What is the travel grant amount?
- Awards typically range from $250–$1,000, depending on available funds and the number of qualified applicants.

How are travel grants selected?
- Priority is given to first-time attendees, though all eligible members may apply.
- Qualified applications are reviewed by an Oley Selection Panel.
- Applicants receiving a registration waiver are still eligible for travel grants.

How and when will travel grant funds be received?
- Travel grants are reimbursement-based.
- Details on how to submit will be listed in your grant confirmation.
- Payments are issued via electronic deposit (ACH) within 3–5 business days of approval.
- Proof of travel and hotel arrangements must be uploaded within 10 days of grant notification.
- Travel must be completed, and all receipts received by August 14 for reimbursement.

Are there restrictions on travel grants?
- One travel grant per patient/family/household.
- Non-transferable and valid only for the year awarded.
- Recipients must adhere to the Oley Code of Conduct and conference policies.
- Applicants should not receive other financial assistance for travel/lodging related to the conference.

What is required to apply?
Applicants must complete the travel grant application, including two short paragraphs describing:
- How attending the conference will impact their life
- How they plan to share what they learn with other patients and/or clinicians

How to Give
Every dollar donated to the Travel Grant Fund helps a deserving individual attend the Oley Annual Conference.
Companies and individuals who are interested can donate

Corporate Support
- Suggested sponsorship: $1,000 per full grant
- Corporate sponsors are recognized in the conference program
- Oley reviews all applications and distributes funds; recipient names are not shared with sponsors
- Oley cannot honor requests to direct grants to specific individuals, but general preferences (e.g., therapy or diagnosis) may be considered
